Played with the DSC Controller today.
Nasty high DA as noted on the Dragy. Hot and Humid. But a 1.53 sixty foot on a pump gas 91 octane tune....I'll take it. Same pass ran a 0 to 60mph in 2.42 seconds without rollout and 2.24 seconds with the typical magazine rollout. |

By the way, M8 GC is coming to Brazil. Prices of US$ 210.000 (around R$ 1.100.000). Just US$ 40k less than the 911 Turbo S, even with our pathetic currency devaluation).

Porsche says 2.6 zero to 60 which usually means 2.3 in the real world as they are very very conservative no???

GT2RS WEGHS 3280 lbs 690Hp. Solid 10.1 at 139mph 2017-18 TTS WEIGHS 3557lbs curb. 580Hp Solid 10.6 at 128mph. 2019 TTS WEIGHS 3557lbs curb. Solid 10.4 at 131mph 992 TTS weighs 3636lbs curb. 640Hp. But more tq. BETTER AWD with more power to the front wheels. The AWD factor will be interesting. The Taycan I spent time with pulled HARD from the front even though apples/oranges. Flat feeling pull. I still say the 992TTS will hit 10.2 at 136ish. But the AWD / torque factors are wildcards that could move those numbers a bit. |

Some additional thoughts: - car is much more slippery than a GT2RS which always astounded me how hard it pulled despite extremely high levels of downforce - my guess is, the 89 hp increase ends up being very conservative (likely to see 89 more WHP over a 991.2TTS) not only to not step on the 2RS but to leave room as Porsche holds back more than anyone on car capabilities - gearing should be better as it is a good bit shorter in the new 8 speed PDK *on top of that it is more efficient overall; vane pump to volume flow has 77% lower losses and aux pump has 37% lower losses - is also venture to say its slightly lighter in US spec. The 992S cabrio weighed in from R&T at 3537 The 992S has 444 hp and runs 11.1/11.2...can only imagine what another 200 Porsche hp is going to do. Last edited by Funf6cyl; 04-03-2020 at 08:08 AM.. |

That would be a solid plan for a LOT of fun. The 991.2 is figured. 100 cell cats, Kline exhaust, BMC filter, Sam tune with Cobb. Done ! 2.24 0-60's. 10.0's at 138 Does it have Michelin's ? I exchanged at 2500miles. M>P |

I literally just this minute placed my order for Pilot Sport 4Ss in 295/35/20 and 285/35/20. Michelin is not only >greater> than Pirelli, for me, it renders Pirelli utterly 'P'irrelevant <— see what I did there; you're welcome. |

Just curious, but what is the hype behind the modern 911 turbo's? Other than quick acceleration and the whale tale, I always find myself liking the Carrera S, GTS or T more, but I'm also someone who doesn't put an emphasis on 0-60 times so that could be why.
The 992 Carrera S is putting out 2.9 seconds to 60 (w/ 1ft rollout) in magazines like Car and Driver, so realistically around 3.1 seconds, and this was in both the cabriolet and hardtop with RWD, and both with a lighter curb weight than the Turbo (and no manual for the Turbo now) so what are some reasons (other than acceleration) to go for the Turbo? Just generally curious here. |
