How did you get your windows tinted already?

One of the best looking X5s I have seen to date. Makes me wish I ordered those wheels instead of the 469 wheels on my 35d M Sport. Please let me know your thoughts on the diesel. This will be my first diesel and my build is very similar except in Carbon Black. Hoping to get my in late June.

That's just the reflection being super bright...his front windows def aren't tinted yet...unless I'm going blind...

Mine is tinted like that too. I have a black sapphire that looks identical - right down to the wheels.

Yeah, lol. Most if not all SUV's have their rear/back window tinted. It's pretty much standard. Only the front two windows are never tinted. For cars, all windows are not tinted. Have you never tinted your SUV's before?

Don't BMW call the dark tint on the rears 'Sun protection glass', they do in the UK and charge you a few hundred quid for the privilege.

Over here we're not allowed to have tinted front side windows beyond a 10-15% reduction in light transmission which is a very light tint as in plain tinted glass. Any darker that that and you'll have the police on your tail and get fined and all sorts. I have see factory delivered vehicles having too darker a tint on the front causing their drivers all kinds of problems with the police.

I vaguely remember someone mentioning something about the sun protection glass being EXTRA tint on top of the current factory tint, thus the extra charge, but don't quote me on that.

In regards to police, we have similar laws for tint, but much more lenient depending on the state you live in. Some are far more strict than others. Thankfully, where I live, we have no issues with our 18% carbon tint on all of our SUVs; we have never been pulled over for tint once. The 18% carbon matches the factory rear tints very nicely in my opinion.
