CCB delayed till July
Damn ordered CCB on M3 and it set my build date back to July!!!! Anyone in the same boat? If I change to Non CCB will it change my production date to earlier or have I dug my own grave?

Same with my build. CCB's, and a July build date. I was first on their list, so I had a hunch it was the CCB's causing the delay. Oh well, its worth it to me.

I may flake out my lease is up in May. I'm guessing July build date means no car till September. I'm going to look at some other cars tomorrow. Sucks

If you leased with BMW they will extend it 6 months with a production number.

Yeah Idk may try something else for a change, I can't get CCB for 5 month after launch. I don't want another M5 been there and done that. Even If I do wait till July from what I've been told I can't do custom individual which would be worth the wait in my eyes. Im going to look at a AMG with 585hp tomorrow.

OTOH, CCB's are gold calipers and no street benefit, except that you get to explain why your gold calipers are better than the regular blue ones...

I guess but at this point I think my production date will still be July if I opt back for the normal brakes. I may try a Merc for once. Then In 2 years reassess. Almost every car is getting a facelift in 2015-2016 it makes a decision even harder. Ill take a test drive tomorrow and see what I think.

I own two mercedes right now, and Im a fan for sure. I nearly went with an E63 wagon, but decided I really wanted to stay with a manual transmission for my fun car. Plus the depreciation on a new E63 is breathtaking, and not in a fun way. I needed a useable back seat, (try as I might I couldnt get my two year olds car seat comfortably in the back of a 911) so M3 it is for me. Have you driven a 911? When my boy graduates to a booster seat in a couple years I'll likely be looking for a 911 again.
Enjoy the hunt. M |

Tony, check with your salesperson tomorrow to see if you would get an earlier build date if you switch to normal brakes? Try that first, and if not, than you can pick a different car. Nothing to lose, right? Or, even check with a different dealer to see if they have more allocation?

You need to wait
You hated your m5 because it was big, ponderous and heavy (3950 lbs). Now you are looking at a 4500 lb mercedes which is even softer? Going the wrong direction man. Be patient, it's worth it |

My config has CCB too but have not received info from my CA with production week yet. Going to stop by there today. My current lease goes till June. 23 and I know it will be extended due to new car on order. Two questions:
1. I purchased about 6k addl miles which raised my lease payment for the past. 5 mos. will my lease extension revert back to the original payment or the new one? 2. My tires are prob fine fur turn in ( rears) on original lease end date per inspection already received. But I don't think that will be the case come aug/September. Am I going to be hit with new tires too? CCB is already expensive and now potentially will have other associated costs. Will not lease again ( or at this time) for these reasons. Contemplating removing CCB to move up production line but also don't want to miss out on a special option offerring. Just frustrating with the external compound costs associated if the build date us delayed. 3mos .

Get the M5 comp package to hold you over. Looks awesome! When you get bored with the M5 get the M3 the way you want it.

Saw that one in their inventory a few weeks ago. Called on it but didn't get much love from the internet sales guy I spoke with. With your connections there you may have better luck.

I have a M3 build with an ED pick up of June 30th. Status 111, green box checked under the "Collection Date/Time" line.
I started with a June 21 request, the 30th was my 4th choice, so it may be the first available for an M3 with CCBs. Large dealership in TX. |
