I am not doing any competition, purely trackdays but i am an experienced track driver

Same question but I'm less experienced--about 8 days in last 2 years. Only HPDE; no racing.

I know I will need some track pads this year as I went through a complete set of OEM pads after a day and a half at Watkins Glen last year.

Thx for any advice.

I run Performance Friction PFC-08 pads, front and back.

If you are swapping out, definitely go with PFC. I have used the 01 compound and they were fantastic but do not last long at all. I am trying the 08 compound this time around as they are supposed to last longer and be easier on the rotors.

Agreed, PFC 06 or 08 are a great HPDE/lapping pad. Not as hard as rotors on some, and I like the feel (but that's subjective, of course).

I've also run Hawk DTC-70's - serious initial bite, but tough on rotors.

None of these will treat you too well on the street.

I got some great use from Carbo Tech XP10s front and XP8's rear. I recently switch to the PFC 08's and have one event on them. They seem very close to the XP10's to me but I need another event to be sold on them.

Pagid Yellow RS19 is what I use, and they are an endurance-type compound.
Feel free to search the track/autocross/M3 forums for advice since there are more M3 racers than 1M racers.

+1 to Hawk DTC-70. Great track pad. I'm soon to try Ferodo DS 1.11 (DS2500 on the rear) - nice retaining clips too.

That doesn't sound encouraging. I'm swapping them in for track work only, so no daily driving on them, but still would have expected more than 2 track days! Must have been some big stops...
I've got 6 track days on the DTC-70s and they're still going (probably half done).

Been spending way too much time on searching for my next endurance track day pads. Looking for the pads with the least amount of noise when cold (on the street), as I will be leaving these on the car full time. I visit the track as often as once a week.

Ive reached out to members on this forum, and received amazing feedback. So a BIG THANKS to them who might be visiting this thread.

My short list:
Carbotech XP8, XP10, XP12: Heard that the XP10 is good choice, that is not too noisy on the street, has decent cold bite, is not too hard on rotors, and is affordable.
Hawk DTC-60 or DTC-70: More bite that Carbotech. Harder on rotors, most affordable endurance pad out there. More noisy than others when cold.
Pagid RS29: Popular choice for Porsche owners. Pads last longer. More noise when cold. Gentle on rotors. more expensive.
Endless ME20: Most expensive of the bunch. Harder to find. Last long. Gentle on rotors.

I envy the 1M owners. You guys have so much more brake pad choices to pick from.
I wish PFC would give us 135i owners a little TLC. To this date, they make no pads for our calipers, but have been planning to for a while ...

FYI: there is a group buy for PFC pads/rotors and even their BBKs over on m3forum. These pads aren't cheap, so this is a great opportunity to save some money!

Yeah I'm not sure if was the track work, daily driving or me not bedding them in properly but I have a lot if experience with the ME20s and treat them the same way and they're fine.
