I guess the driver was looking for tunnels to go through and walls to bounce the sound off of. I wish he would have just gotten out of the city where he could stay on the gas! It sounded nice for the few seconds he could stay in it.
Only time will tell if the F80/F82 sounds like that but for sure it will sound similar to that. Thanks for posting! |

Disappointed in the exhaust note? There's hope, but it'll cost you$$$
Akra E92 M3 and 1M.
I figure the exhaust shouldn't sound too different than what it sounds like here on the 1M, which is pretty damn nice. Vid is from Alexshop. .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Hopefully the MPE addresses the stock exhaust note.

To me, I've heard Honda Fart Cans that sound better than that 1M. I'm not being facetious or hyperbolic here. I've heard Subaru flat fours with unequal length headers (and equal length headers) that sounded better.
I literally cringed when I heard that 1M pull out of the parking lot. Sounded like the exhaust wasn't fully tightened down, it was so raspy and.....vibration-like in quality. If anything, that made me consider enjoying an e9x m3 for a few years before moving to the f80.... P.s. At 31-32 seconds, you hear the 1M create a notable and undesirable drone right before they cut the video. Obviously I don't own one of these systems, but if I paid that exorbitant price and heard drone....well, I wouldn't be badmouthing the exhaust, cause I'd want it to fetch a good price. They totally rock that s65 though... |

I wanted a Meisterschaft on my old car but ended up going with an AA cause I got a good deal. Never was really happy with it. I'm definitely not ready to pony up Akra money so hopefully there are some good options. I've never been able to understand why cat-backs for BMW cost so much.

Thanks. I had a tubi exhaust on my e39 m5 and found them to be outstanding in terms of craftsmanship, materials, and exotic sound without going overboard. I was not impressed with meistershcraft on that vehicle - though it does sound wonderful on the 1M above.
Anyway, I think the videos of the f80 I've seen sound pretty similar to the meistershcraft 1M above. Just one of my thoughts. |

The Meisterschaft exhaust is probably one of the best sounding exhausts available for the I6 turbo motors. Quote:
I share the same opinion. |
