Reflectors?
Hey guys, I'm picking up my new 2007 M Coupe on thursday, i got a PHENOMENAL deal... 2007 FULLY LOADED every option silver gray on black extended leather for $16,000 off MSRP. 24 month lease. Trading it my S2000. anyways, I used to own an E46 ZHP and I know a billion places sell prepainted replacement reflectors, but I can't seem to find ANY for the M Coupe? Does anyone have any input? thanks a lot.

i know theres one website that sells a sticker for a silver colored car. but since my car is black i just put a tint film over it. blends nice on a black car.

how much does it typically cost to have them removed and painted? did you paint them exactly to match your car or did you buy a similar paint color and paint them? I have shappire black so I can get away with just painting them black.
Here is what I was thinking of doing: 1) Covering the reflectors with black tape (cut it out over the reflector) 2) newspaper that area of the car and spray paint 3 coats of black and 1 coat of clear 3) voila is this how you did it? or did you remove them and have them properly painted? |

Don't use just any black - the correct color is available at your dealer for $20! If you want more, visit Paintscratch.com and get it in aerosol with a clear coat.

I would either tint the reflector as a couple people with black M's did but I am still trying to locate those white reflectors I seem to see in Europe.

Hawkeye has a 3.0si, not an M. In Europe the Z4M has no reflectors, but the non-Ms have clears. I think 20ducks swapped in European clears on his. I also think Ron Stygar looked into getting a euro bumper shipped here and painted to get rid of the reflectors on his Z4MC.

Sounds like a lot of work for reflectors... Oh well, guess I'll live with my HUGE orange ones.

Your dealer sells touch-up paint, though you'd likely need a couple of bottles. You can also use Paintscratch.com or a similar online paint service for larger amounts in a spray can. My plan is to buy some spares at the dealer and have them prepped and painted at the same time as my aero kit sills. My goal is to have this done, my windows tinted and my CSLs mounted on the first day of spring (March 20). That's also when my Z4 roadster goes up for sale.
