quick question about akro exhaust system

I was searching the internet and forums and couldnt really pin point a clear answer and maybe someone here can help me out. Where do the weight savings from the akro evo come from compared to the oem exhaust? is the slip on where most of the savings come from? which seems like thats where would it be.....but i read in a couple of places that the xpipe saves 40 pounds over the oem, which doesnt make sense.....actually read that in the ind website.....maybe someone here can clear it up.

According to Akrapovic's website, the rear section saves 31.1 lbs over stock. The complete Evo system saves 52.7 lbs over stock. So by simple math, the x-pipe saves 21.6 lbs over stock.

The Akra is all titanium so it's not surprising how much lighter it is compared to stock.
