ESS VT2-585 + ESS X-pipe dyno

We had a customers car in this week that had our VT2-585 supercharger kit and high flow cat X-pipe installed. I wanted to share the gains our X-pipe made for those that have inquired as to the HP / TQ it adds when paired with one of our supercharger systems.

This car had the stock rear section on all runs and was using 91 octane fuel.

whats the dip at 3k rpm? let off the throttle or?

and I like how the graph is a little smoother on the runs with the x pipe. im assuming that's a result of the car being able to hit its timing targets better due to better flow and less heat.

good stuff, I hope to add a 550 kit one day

wow, 40 whp gains from just an xpipe. I wonder how much a difference there is going from a race pipe to xpipe though.

WOW!! Insane gains!!

Still amazes me what these aftermarket X-Pipes and Test Pipes do, both for NA and FI application.

Doesn't the Akra HFC x-pipe have a dip as well?

This dyno isn't helping my decision to "be happy" with my car's power. I keep telling myself that my vt2-625 loves 4 cats + 2 resonators

How well do the cats hold up with the supercharger kit? In my previous Aston Martin that I supercharged, the stock cats melted and disintegrated. Even the replacement high-flow cats didnt survive.

This was done at our facility in AZ. As long as you have a baseline on any dyno the whp really makes no difference high or low as long as you can measure the delta gains. This car made 335-340 whp stock on this same dyno. Delta gains with the VT2-585 alone were 150 whp over stock and 190 whp over stock with the X-pipe. This type of comparison is all one should really care about.

This is incredible! Can't wait for my ESS full exhaust... maybe supercharge later on... seems like a great combination.
