No those are often referred to as connecting pipes. So it will replace your entire muffler, leaving the x pipe in place and intact

I think you need to spend much more time on this forum...but it's ok man
And the answer is no,the name of these pipes are the connecting pipes, actualy they connect your exhaust(muffler) to the X-pipe

Another thing now...
Do you have heard about the Oem.exhaust mod. ?
I have done this for about $10-15 USD and sounds even better than the MPE!
And you will save $$$$ ! for further information of this Oem. exhaust mod. feel free to PM me
So listen to this video...and judge by yourself...MPE vs Oem. exhaust mod.

I know,thats why i have done the Oem.exhaust mod !
And before i have done this mod. i have test driven with MPE and Akrapovic slip on ...and i can tell you man...Oem. exhaust sounds way better !
But....and again BUT...sound is very personal ,but the sound of my exhaust i love every single day
BTW...Inconel and titanium exhaust's make a typical hollow sound !

But it dont look as good nor is it inconel - super light. But oem mod does sound real nice.

That e90 looks pretty sick. Only thing i would have done to my oem mod is the tips. Now i feel like im on an exhaust search over and over again. Lol.

I once was told by someone that he tried 18 different exhaust/xpipe configurations and thought he was crazy but i feel like im gonna do that too lol.
