midnight blue and estoril blue z4m coupes?
i happened to stumble across a uk z4 forum where i discovered a midnight blue z4m coupe and an estoril blue m coupe as well. I know of estoril blue as an individual color but i didnt know anyone had either of these colors for m coupes. They were both right hand drive. I remember a while back there was a thread about colors and they were a few bmw individual colors on the m coupes, like carbon black, but i dont remember these colors.
Anyone have any knowledge? |

To my knowledge, estoril blue is a color that was available on Z3s and E46 M3s but not for Z4Ms
Not sure about midnight blue. Could it perhaps be Monaco Blue which is a very dark blue color. Comments are based on North American Z4Ms. Not sure if it applies globally. |

Well it's been a long enough time since these cars have been around that it's possibly just an aftermarket paintjob

Calichase, I had a monaco blue (favorite color for Z4) and it's like a midnight blue... at night it's black...during the day it's a dark blue...I suspect it's that color you are looking for. It's a black base paint with blue pearl... very pretty. Never heard of Estoril blue.

European ordered cars had a number of color options beyond what we were offered...

I looked through numerous build thread and both were Bmw individual colors. The midnight blue is the Europeans equivalent to Monaco blue it appears. Only 17 were made. I think only 1 estoril blue was built, and it wasn't a respray.

JMO but matte/frozen is getting old.
Estoril in gloss would be great!

The matte estoril blue z4mc has been on sale since the start of 2013 and only recently (<1 month) 'morphed' colours from BSM to the custom matte estoril shown. Definitely a professional repaint (the asking price has swollen another usd4500) with individual panels removed and glass-out repainted. Myself am somewhat on the fence over how it looks but it is most definitely unique. Am also the only BSM z4mc left in Singapore
There is also a bmw-dealer-repainted frozen grey z4mr in Singapore but I can't manage to find the pictures now. |
