HFC or resonators

What's up fellas question for people with better knowledge then me. I have a xpipe with a set of resonators and no cats looking to add either another set of resonators or HFC. Which will be better option to pair up with a Meisterschaft gt2. I currently have no cats and a Remus race thanks in advance fellas.

Hfc will rob a few horses (minimal and probably not noticeable) where as the resonators would most likely just reduce cabin resonance I think.

I would go HFC because you will have no smell. Personally i don't mine some exhaust smell but , friends, family, girfriend etc might not.

I'd put another set of resonators. Even quad resonated the GT2 will be really really loud... and I have a high tolerance for loud exhausts. Post a video with whatever set up you end up with.

if your going to run a gt2 your only good option with an x-pipe is staying stock IMO. I ran a gt2 with a challenge sport and the exhaust was way too loud. My car is not my daily in anyway put it gets annoying and gt2 will become to raspy. Your only other good option is keeping or using HFC in the front where your primary cats used to be, this will kinda tame it down a bit. Running around with an exhaust system that hit over 115db+ on the streets or the track gets annoying to you and everyone around you.

no matter how high quality if your running 200 or 100 (HFC) your car will always smell.

Wait to you run some race gas...smells unbelievable...

Keep in mind that a good set of HFCs like the HJS cats run a pretty penny. If I was to run a aftermarket car I would look at Random Technologies. They aren't as expensive but they are a good cat. A lot of cats that the aftermarket sells are inferior and they will start to break down and clog. Run a good cat, its just that they will cost more than a set of resonators which can be had for in the $80 range ea..

Thanks for info guys I think I'm going to put on the second set of resonators and keep the Remus for time being. I heard a gt2 with xpipes and no cats sounds sexy but to much for DD. and don't want to lose the power in going to stock pipe. Maybe ill like this set up once its done ill keep you guys updated

its just simply not true. friends and i have used HFC on much more powerful builds. They may take little longer to warm up, but it was night and day compared to catless setups.

although we always had custom dyno tunes done.
