Check Engine
Well, started last week a couple of Check Engine warnings that reset. Today it seems to be staying on. After going through 2 335i and multiple fuel pumps and lost a time in service I had hoped that BMW had worked out their issues. But now my Z435is is throwing codes.
Odd thing even though it says it is going into limp mode it doesn't and when I look at the vehicle status in iDrive it shows a green Ok even though I have a yellow engine icon on the dash. Guess I'll drop it off on Monday |

Why, oh why, do we love such unreliable vehicles so?
Nothing has gone awry with mine - so far - but there are only ~7,000 km on it right now. <knocking wood with crossed fingers> Good luck and keep us updated.

Good luck. 2 HPFP replacements and 3 new injectors for me. Hopefully yours will get sorted out soon.

As it turned out I stopped at BMW and of course the check engine light went out. Since there was no limp mode and system error other than the yellow engine symbol they thought that maybe the gas cap was not sealing correctly even though the cap was tight. They said if I see similar issues reoccur bring it back and they will check the seal.
So good news for now. |

I had my whole 335i replaced a few years ago. It was in limp mode more than a 85yo w/o viagra. They ended up doing a trade assist. My second 335i had 2 HPFPs replaced. After that I went to a X3 28i no issues without the turbo. I figured I would give it a try now 6 years later.

they will need to check the wiring harness and sensors either somethng is pinched or a sensor is sending the wrong code.
