Fastest 1M color!
The forum seems kind of slow so I will pose this question to everyone. Since we already know VO is the fastest color....which color takes second place...White or Black?

Fastest in what way? I'm sure my black color 1M is faster than yours VO or White. Lol. I think the question should be who has the fastest 1M. In Brasil there's one with 650Hp at the wheels. From what I know is the fastest worldwide. And yes, it has upgraded turbos... and the car runs with 30% Alcohol on the tank...

650hp at the wheels you need new turbos and few other stuff. 500hp to the wheels is the max you can get on stock turbos from what I know. I'm pretty comfortable with my car the way it is now. I beat almost anything on the road including ferraris.

And if they manage to install a jet engine with afterburner, it might even be faster.

All new cars built in Brazil since a few years are "flex" engine cars which means that they can run either on gas or 100% ethanol or a free combination of both whenever desired/needed. Typically, ethanol gives more power but higher consumption and gas does things vice versa. Customer chooses which to put in the car at pump depending on prices of both. Other than that, gas in Brazil also includes certain (25?) percentage of ethanol anyway due to a local law which aims to support national ethanol industry which dates back to 70s. So, there is no "alcohol" free gas in Brazil, maybe and just maybe other than a special type of gas called Petrobras "Podium" which was basically the race gas Petrobras used in F1 and it was said to be free of ethanol, very clean and high octane. I used only that gas in my 2006 E90 330i when I was living in Brazil. That was pretty hard to find though and I was keeping a map and list of stations in the car which supposed to have that gas.
So, there are no "light" Brazilian petrol, they are all more or less drunk...let's say it in a good, cheerful way.

Wouldn't AW be the lighter of the three colors since it has no metal flake in it? Plus all race cars are made in "body on white" or AW. So I think AW is really the fastest color - since all race cars are made in AW first - before the teams paint/wrap the cars in sponsorship colors.

Just in the same spirit of contributing to this fine thread (I mean it, no sarcasm here): I sincerely believe that BSM is the slowest of three colors. Because it absorbes more heat and not only makes the driver and passanger(s) more unconfortable, therefore more distracted and less performant, there is also undeniable need of using the A/C unit more which effects engine output and performance. I am not even going to scientific details of why more heat absorbed by the hood area will adversely and greatly affect the engine cooling capacity, that's a well known fact that no one can deny.
So BSM is clearly the slowest and after that comes AW "in real world driving" which should be fastest on track merely because Dackel gave a real good reason which I can not argue against but as a matter of fact a VO car would always catch up and stay ahead because the owners of VO are happier people, they are more cheerful (natural orange effect, vitamins and stuff), and they never get frustrated because their interior stitching doesn't match the exterior too Sorry if there is someone who doesn't like what I say.

But then again, though AW has no metal flaking (less weight) and is often 'stripped' for racing purposes, it's so damn 'invitational' for slapping livery (stripes, logos, etc.) and add-ons (lips, wings, etc.) on it, adding weight and further impacting the drag coefficient. However, here's the puzzling bit about dirt-hider VO being the slowest of the pack: even when parked VO still seems to move (or seems to express that it yearns for moving) - and the pulse of the onlooker may increase when spotting it. Furthermore, rumor says that science teams suspect that VO generates magnetic fields, inducing brain cells of onlookers to turn heads into its direction. Spooky stuff...
