Steptronic anomaly...

This is strange and I could use some expertise.

2013 128i Steptronic, just passed 1000 miles and when driven first thing on a cold start it will struggle to get out of first gear and shift to second... Hovering up to 3500 to around 5500K before deciding to grab second, which is a little embarrassing for a brand new BMW in a parking lot.

This is only on a cold start and never when warm. It is also intermittent and doesn't happen every time.

I haven't tried it in manual mode, but..... Really?

I'm wondering if this is a fluid level issue or a break in issue as I have been keeping my foot out of it since I took ownership. All other aspects of the transmission are perfect. It loves 95 mph as well as 30 in town..

No codes thrown, nor any other abnormal issues.

All I can tell you is that my 2012 128 has never done that, even when new. Might want to ask your dealer about that
