Noisy Muffler Ticket
Well after three years of running a Remus Race exhaust, I finally got pulled over for a Noisy Muffler Ticket. The cop was three cars behind me at a stop light when I accelerated. According to him, he could have heard me a mile away with my exhaust. I guess I just got used to the sound of it. The car has no other modifications done to the exhaust system. I guess it was a slow day for him.

Sucks bro. Iam always a little paranoid at stop lights when PO's are around. How much was the fine or did you get a correction summons.

$54.00 for a Noisy Muffler Ticket. I told him that once I go thru the gears it's not loud at all and it wasn't like I was speeding or recklessly driving. As that was happening, a Mazda RX8 with down and mid pipes went blaring through, and I just gave him that "what about that guy?" look. Oh well.

I'm not worried about the ticket at all. Four years passing by local cops and never once have I been pulled over. It's the fact that I live in the same town where other cars have louder exhaust systems and they just zoom by. Felt like I was just filling up his quota.

Amazing! I teach Aikido in River Edge and know a few of the cops there, I'm surprised.

I guess a few of them just recently replaced their hearing aide batteries.

You guys are always welcome in FL -- We get away with no mufflers, cats, shit you could probably remove your exhaust and let it blare out from the headers if you wanted (or at least that's what some of the pickup trucks here sound like). Cops don't care, and there aren't many auto laws on the books to even hit you with in the first place.
