Aftermarket paddle shifters?
Any vendors that make extended paddle shifters for f10 m5? Oem paddles are tiny and I wish they made them stationary like lambo/ Ferrari.

I ordered a set through TID styling a few months ago and received them. Unfortunately they were for an E60. They have since redesigned them for the F10 M5 and mine are on the way. I will post pic's after they are installed

Also interested to see the install. I'm not sure the TID redesign works for the F10 stylistically. There's a lot going on.
I was really interested in doing this until I learned how to drive properly now I think the stock size is fine. My only complaint is that they look like a 328i. The M6 paddles are nice because they are unique.

I used to laugh wen I read posts about this, then I got the M5 and realized the same thing. They are too small, you're forced to hold the wheel much lower.
I actually like these paddles, would like to see them installed, but might look good for those with aluminum trim.

Me too. But then I went to school and 9/3 was asked of us - with good reason. The most steering input without repositioning the hands is at 9/3. So I tried it, now I would never go back.
Believe it or not it was hard getting used to it though, but now it is second nature.

Yeah I'm not sure how the lighting would match with the interior. I would prefer something like this:

10/2 is driving school teachings, 9/3 is racing school teachings - it gives you the broadest turn of the wheel without taking your hands off.... having said that, there shouldn't be much shifting going on mid-turn anyways, especially on one sharp enough you'd have to take a hand off the wheel...

Whoa those TID paddles look pretty good! If and when they come leather wrapped or in gloss black, count me in!

I go for the 12 O' Clock low rider position. It works well for road, race and drift! Plus it leaves my other hand free to do what ever i want!

Does anyone know if the install will offer much difficulty? I'm awaiting response from a BMW tech I know, but has anyone been in there and removed a paddle, and based on what these look like, can you tell me any useful info?
Thank you |

Yeah,, after driving our new F12 M6 for a few days I realized how much I like the paddle shifters (and the entire wheel in fact) better than my F10. I am swapping out the whole thing!
