Recommended racing brake pads by those who track

Greetings for those who bring their e92m3 to the track.
What's your recommended racing brake pads that would fit the OEM calipers. Any reliable reasonable website retailers that you recommend. Thanks in advance.

try pagids, performance friction, endless, or carbotech.

I've only logged 3 days on the track, but I used Performance Friction PFC01's. They were great on the track. Never a hint of fade or other issues.

But be warned if you are going to drive to/from home or a hotel or whatever they make your car sound like a dump truck.

I'm on Pagid RS-29 and really like them, I run them on the street too and they seem fine. I will be switching to HAWK DTC 70/60 after I go through these because hawks are cheaper..

Thanks for the input guys!!! I'm suppose to upgrade to StopTech but there's not enough time installing it for an upcoming event, so I'm sticking to my OEM brake but it needs pads after 3 days in a row of tracking. =( Tires and wheels have to wait too - backorder on black ec7 according to Apex. =(

I personally use carbotechs, XP20 Front and XP10 Rear, they're loud when cold, but like someone mentioned all track pads are.

Can't really go wrong with any of them, hawk, carbotech, pagids, PFC, endless, cobalt.. and so on and so on.. not sure if the last two come in M3 sizes.

OK I'm really dumb when it comes to this but is it a must and/ or highly recommended to bleed and change the OEM brake fluid once I change to either Hawk DTC 70 or PFC01? Which fluid would you recommend!?

If you are swapping pads, Pagid RS-29. Squeal like crazy on the track but stop like crazy, too. Not sure I could live with them on the street. I swap back to street pads.

i run PFC-08. good price, and good pad for HPDE work IMO (though dont have experience with other race pads). i swap out for track work only and run stock pads on the street.

i got mine from harold at HPA. dont forget a good high temp fluid also.

Any problems with uneven deposits with those that swap out for the track? In my experience with other cars, it seems that when a pad is bedded in with one rotor it feels best, but if you use multiple pads on one rotor the old pad material mixes with the new material causing uneven deposits and brake shudder. This seems to happen no matter what steps I take to clean the old material off and bed the new material.

That being said, are there any pads that seem more compliant with the oe pad as far as swaps go?

Or am I better off with a dual purpose pad?

PFC pads do not require the bed in procedure, so I would go with those.

I run PFC08s. I put them on a few days before the event. Cold driving with the pads will pretty much scrape off the OEM pad transfer layer. After the event I drive around the next day with the track pads; the cold pads will pretty much scrape off the PFC transfer layer. After putting the OEMs back on, re-bed. No issues so far ...

i kinda think dual purpose pads are the worst of both worlds. they dont last long, and still have issues on the track

why not take advantage of free pads for the street from BMW and run race pads exclusively for track?

if you are tracking, run the best which is race pads. dont skimp on pads, brake fade sucks haha
