Service Engine Soon Light after N55 JB+
Installed the JB+ for N55 that I bought from another member last weekend and drove it a bit during the week and today while driving my service engine soon light comes on. The only mods I've done have been the JB+, BMS intake and Performance exhaust. I have the JB+ set at the default setting in the middle of the dial. Can't understand why it would get triggered by something so mild. Any suggestions?

Does your car feel like it went into limp mode/lose power or anything like that?

Usual question, how many miles are on your car, when was it purchased and is it do for service?
Coincidences seem to happen when you make a change, and the mod. Is the first suspect. Our cars are programmed to show service warnings at different times, 24 months throws a service soon warning on the N55. |

My car runs normally and did not do anything different such as loss of power. My car has 9000 miles on it and I just had it in for service a few weeks ago, oil change and wiper blades. Car was new in mid 2010 and still has the original DME software. I took it to an indy BMW shop and his scanner wouldn't connect to the car, he didn't know why. Terry at BMS said to use a BT cable and I'd be able to see if there were any codes and then delete them. I don't have the cable and I'm on a Mac and don't have a PC. I don't want to take it to the dealer until this is figured out as I don't want my warranty voided for something so small. The JB+ is now off the car for good. Anyone in So Cal with a BT cable that could give me a hand or recommend a shop that might? Thanks for the input!
