N52: Inspection II Time

Well at 5 years and 98K miles my (non-M) coupe is finally saying it's time for Inspection II. I was just wondering what parts other N52 Z4's ended up having replaced at Inspection II and what particular things I should be looking out for.

Thanks...

PS. The coupe has been remarkably trouble free over almost 100K. No problems. No repairs other than basic maintenance. Still drives like new as far as I can tell.

I don't have an answer to your question, but it is great to hear that your coupe has been trouble free for so long. I've been curious about this sort of thing since I got mine last year. I don't have nearly as many miles as you do, but also have been trouble free. Looking down the road, this is a positive post indeed. I look forward to what others have to say and to see how your inspection comes out. Best of luck.

Thanks for the maintenance schedule. Other than regular oil changes, tires/brakes and brake/coolant flush at Inspection I - 50K miles ago - I've done none of it. I assume it's well past time for diff/tranny oil changes as well as another flush of the brake and coolant systems.

I hadn't heard about water pump problems though. Are they so endemic that folks are recommending preemptive replacement? My coolant temps are rock solid even in 100+ degree heat...

I do coolant and trans every 50k, diff every 30k, brake flush once per season.
