M6 (f12/13) front air dam

since i'm not tracking the car, i couldn't justify spending $$$ on a splittler/air dam, so started thinking outside the box.

the new m6 front air dam ended up being a great choice! for $63 ($50.53 if you're BMWCCA), you get OE quality complete with everything you need to install it. a little bit of modification is required, and also expected due to the difference between the cars. note: this is also a soft rubber air dam, so curbs won't destroy it or the bumper, and it's cheap so there's no hard feelings if you do run it off the car.

on to pics!

Thanks for experimenting, but not sure that I like the look, especially with the odd misfit near the fangs. The coupe already have a front air dam, but its just a bit hidden.

Not something I'd consider but it's not awful. If you like it, sweet!

Thread title led me to think this was another LTBMW bumper mashup, that doesn't seem too bad. As long as you enjoy it! would be interested in seeing pics from say 10-15 feet away at eye level.

it looks easy enough to make something to fit the holes, and plastidip will probably match pretty well color-wise. i'll mess around with it and see what happens.

updates to follow.
