Convertible top issues

I recently purchased a '03 Z4. The convertible top was replaced a year ago by the previous owner. The issue, the vinyl/plastic that forms the window frame is cracking. The top itself looks great, but this lower part of the convertible top is cracked and splitting on both sides of the car. The passenger side is worse and is cracked/ split about 6 inches up. Has anyone else had this issue? This is my first Bimmer so I have no reference. Help please. Thanks, Letch

You can try and use some product to restore or care for rubber but if it's already cracked it's worth replacing as it may leak
