My first two exterior/visual mods are on their way!

First one:

After seeing all the glorious pictures of TI Z4M roadies with aero side skirts, my stock side skirts just seemed kind of "wimpy" to me. One of those things that, "once you see it, you can't unsee it".

So I decided to get a set of my own side skirts. $422.38 grand total...with free shipping for both. Great price! Took 1 week to get here. And they arrived on my door step yesterday in two GINORMOUS boxes.

My plan is to have then painted next month, let them sit and cure for 5 months over the winter break, and then do a full DIY ventureshield clear bra on them. Can't wait to get them on!

Second one:

I planned on having my bumper resprayed next year, but I also notice a very small development of road rash on my hood and fenders. Nothing major, a few pin like spots only visible if you stare at it for 5 minutes, but it started to bother me.

Why repaint the bumper just to have the rest look crappy?

So I decided to order the hood/fender kit from http://www.invisiblemask.com/.

Now I know it is not a professional install. The purpose is just to preserve the front for a year or two until I get the bumper resprayed AND THEN have a professional do the clear bra.

However, the invisiblemask.com kit using venture shield is pretty damn good!

Installation was easy. Maybe 90% of that of a professional. A few flaws barely noticeable. Took about 2 hours total.

It looks very good. You can't really tell its even on there in most light. The only really visible part is the line across the hood, but that's even barely noticeable.

All in all, a relatively inexpensive product anyone can install if they want to protect their car for a year or two!

Wow! Great price on the side skirts. I just got mine for like $530 shipped from Tischer. Don't know when I'll get around to putting them on.
