Oh that sound!

So I was bitching on Thursday about having to spend $300 or 12 skydives to buy the car a spare tire....
Then a girl I'm seeing calls up and says "Want to go to a show with me in NYC?" Sure! Why not!

So if you have not been to nyc you need to go, if you know then you will understand this. The city if FILLED with cars!
Cabs, rickshaws and tourists all fill the streets of NYC and the pedestrians are just not impressed by much.

So there I was with my date and our tickets and this cute girl is walking slowly across the street just as the light turns green for me. To encourage her to move a little faster I just blipped the throttle and she looks over and the look she gave me! If there was ever look that equated to angry sex that was it!

My date for the evening looks over at me "This car of yours sure has a sound doesn't it?"

So we go see the show and walk back to the garage to pick up the car. And like the streets the garages are filled with every type of car. But let me tell you the sound of that stock exhaust with it bubbly growely tone...everyone just looks over.

BMW you cheap good for nothing bastards may have not given me a spare tire but you almost made it up to me by giving this car an amazing voice!

I don't know why any one would ever change the pipes on one of these cars!

Much better than my gf's reaction to the car when I got my PE.

She looked at me square in the eyes and said "So it makes that gay noise now"

If anyone asks - thats why I ended it.

Curious, do you have a 128 or 135? do you have the stock or the performance exhaust, sounds like you just have stock. and have you done the flapper mod to the exhaust? i have a 128 with flapper done and it sounds fantastic...im looking for a little more sound and might get the PE, but its a lease so im hesitant.

I'm hoping to have my full Berk street exhaust in the next couple weeks. Sounds like I'll have to stop and get some extra pairs of shorts on the way to getting it installed

You wont regret it. I have the PE on my 135i and it's ideal for me. (Especially since I am debadged, the looks I get are quite amusing.)

Only girlfriends and other cute girls and even not so cute girls will even notice the exhaust sound of a car, especially a stock 135i. You obviously are not married. I have a stock 1m, M3, stock gt3 rs among others etc. My wife hates the sound, any and all other women love the sound. That is life my friend. Enjoy it while you can.

I was married once...it was nice...but stuff came up.
Now I'm just living bootycall to bootycall and let me tell you the sound of this car makes my friend who has a Z get all pissed off!
Having a cute girl in NYC stop and take notice...that's just about the right sound if you ask me! Any louder and it's garbage.
