question about warranty expiration date
Hey guys,
So my warranty runs out on the 27th and I'm going in for service on the 26th. There is a possibility the part I'm looking to replace under warranty is not in stock at the dealership and have to be ordered. If the ordered part comes in after the 27th and they install it a few days later, is everything still considered fully covered? as in I don't have to pay for anything? My guess is I'll be covered for the whole thing but I don't want to be surprised so I thought I'd check with you guys. Thanks! |

your covered.. they will note on there end that part was ordered while under warranty.. when they actually do the repair a few days past your warranty date they notate that part was ordered etc etc etc ..
ideally they will just keep the ro open and wait for your return. that is the better way ..

Many times you can get goodwill warranty work done just after the date/mileage expiration if you ask -- especially if it's something that you had problems with prior to warranty expiration.
I had ball joints/control arms replaced under goodwill at 52K miles on an E46 because it was the 3rd set needed since new (they told me the 4th set would *not* be covered). |
