Ethanol Free Gas..
Found two gas stations not too far away from me that has ethanol free gasoline.. Been doing a MPG and "feel" test in my daily driver (2003 Jeep inline 6) the last couple of tanks of ethanol free.. My average MPG has increased by 3mpg and power delivery is smoother and stronger.. Nothing scientific, but I can definitely notice a difference.. I plan on doing the poor mans ethanol test with a water bottle next time I fill up.. (Just to check for any ethanol content..) My M has only seen V-Power but considering the shelf life of ethanol and my tests, I am probably going to put a tank of E0 in the M soon.. Will also fill the tank in my wife's roadster too.. Will post any significant MPG findings and describe how I "feel" the cars are performing on ethanol free gasoline..
For those that are interested in ethanol free gasoline, a friend of mine, who is in to classic cars, sent me this site.. http://pure-gas.org/ Last edited by MHeavNC; 04-27-2012 at 12:13 PM.. |

In total, we've driven more than 250,000km with E10 in the past 12 years in 4 different BMWs (over 120,000km in an E46 that had 165,000km on it when it was sold), none have ever had any issues relating to fuel. |

There is a pure gas app on the iPhone.. On the regular website, I always click on the details, to the right of each station, to see if there are updates from users.. I updated the one I went to yesterday to let people know that it is 93 octane only.. I filled up the M and it is running great.. No MPG test yet as I have been driving pretty aggressive..!!!
