3M tape?

Hi All,

I just picked up some carbon fiber splitters for my m3 and I wanted to ask if there's a specific kind and type of 3M tape in addition to the screws that I need to pick up. I know there's a wealth of different types and I just wanted to ask for a quick recommendation.

IIRC, there is a 3M tape that is specific to automotive applications. That said, I use the regular off the shelf 3M stuff from the hardware store and haven't had any issues.

Here's the tape I used, in both 7/8" and 1/2" widths. Worked great. Circumferential tape around the splitter edge, with only the one existing screw in the bumper.

Almost any auto parts store should carry it. That's where i got mine.
