I have a quick question. I don't like the patchy look of those painted reflectors. If i decide to fill those holes and get it painted with the original paint how would it look? Has anyone done it before?

Have to respray whole bumper. Chance it could expand/contract and you will get the outline of the cut in the bumper.

Look, ebay dude! Geez that site everyone recommended is silly expensive! $765 for painted Splitters?!......I'd rather spend $150 for carbon fiber ones on ebay. The painted reflectors arent overly expensive but cheaper on ebay as well. The other parts like grills, side markers, lips...super cheap on ebay...I about shit my pants seeing the duckbill trunk for like $2600! Ebay price from Sibian...like $800 thats carbon fiber too!...these people are crazy for spending full price on the same thing ebay sells....and yes I said it... E B A Y !

Its not the same thing. If you ever come across a real part and not a knockoff, you would know. Quality and fit is near perfect. Ebay stuff is garbage. Splitter carbon weaves are uneven and dont fit right, painted reflectors arent color matched and leaves gaps, carbon trunks are cheap china carbon and will leak.
Quality over quantity wins every time. Because if you've been in the game long enough, you would know that its actually cheaper to do it right the first time.

Ive been in the game...trust me...Ive been on ebay for 12 years now and owned 6 bmw's now...yes I agree, not everything is quality...But Seibon and VIS make quality CF parts....Something simple like reflector covers, you can find painted just for your car...theres gonna be no difference in a $55 part than a $75 part...most companies upcharge. I call that the BMW tax. They assume, you have a BMW you have money, therefore you'll pay. My 1995 m3, just about all my aftermarket parts are from ebay...no issues either. The fitment on a CF part that is $1000 is not gonna be too much different than a $2500 same part. Unless your gonna race, we all know CF is just for looks. Hey, if you got the money, pay three times the price. I've done the research on Seibon and VIS and thats what most people recommend. The China crap...is just that...crap! I fully agree on that one. I stay way clear of China parts because how can they make a good part if they don't make the car. American aftermarket parts are better due to availability and better Engineering. But for something small like your asking about...I'm going ebay. I looked and they make the reflector blank offs in all the colors...I highly doubt someone can screw up a 1 1/2" x 4" part that bad when it comes to paint. But like I said...if you have the money...go to that site ind...or whatever and pay triple for your parts. I have a habit of wasting money, so if I can pay $250 for a CF lip instead of $1200 for the same thing, I'd rather do that and if it doesn't fit right I won't be so pissed. But I haven't had a single problem with fitment from parts on ebay. I guess ZKE lights are different from ZKE lights from the dealer? Just trying to help ya out...but for what your looking for it's not expensive at all, but the other stuff on the site...forget it! Once I start buying CF parts for my M3, I'll post if the fitment is garbage or not off ebay...thats what these forums are for...to help out fellow Bimmer's

iND paint is worth the extra money IMO. It is flawless and a perfect match in my experience.

Ebay parts can work for certain things, but I'm not down with "knock-off" designs in which people have essentially ripped off others work. The one exception to that rule is when the part simply cannot be obtained...point in case - GTS replica stuff since the real items are hand made by M and nearly impossible to get.

Painted reflectors from ebay are not the same as IND. And dont think Im an IND fanatic or groupie. I have only bought one thing from there which were the painted reflectors.

Different cars different market.

And its gonna look like crap if is cheap crap carbon. Seibon and VIS are good, and I agree, but for true connoisseur of carbon. They can tell if something is quality. Unless you get the carbon painted, then whatever, as long as it will hold.

So if you can pay 3.89 for gas instead of 4.09 for the same thing of higher quality and your car breaks you wont feel so pissed?
Same concept, not as extreme, but how many feel about their mods.

Cool man, eBays a good place. Just gotta be aware and carful sometimes.
And ZKE lights from ebay are the same as ZKE lights from a dealer. But China no name carbon splitters are not the same as OEM BMW Performance carbon splitters. And I have yet to see an American replica. Same goes for reflectors and other products. Most carbon knockoffs are well known on e90post not here.
Most reflectors off ebay are not oem, and trust me, the fit will be off. The reason why everyone buys IND reflectors is because it is oem and then painted in-house. The painted reflectors I've seen from ebay look straight up whiteout for alpine white, and I can only imagine the same quality for the others.

Yup, Ive actually heard good reviews from the cheap china front carbon splitters on the forum. Before I got the challenge lip, I was actually considering that because front lips on a lowered car is considered a temporary mod and a costly expense at that.
Post up reviews when you do, Im interested.
Just in my past I have had no luck, and therefore lost interest in ebay products.
