Need tips on painting OEM muffler

I ordered a can of VHT flameproof spray (flat black) to paint the muffler. How hard is it to take off the catback if all I have is a couple of ramps and a jack? What are your tips when painting the muffler?

I think I'm going to just do the midsection so that the sides still show.

I sand it 400 grit then paint ... Make sure to clean it before painting... I had to use 1 1/2 can for extra coating...

Also taking the exhaust out can be a pain without proper tools or if your doing it by yourself... Done it myself, make sure u have time to let it dry though

Out of curiosity, why sand it? I'm only painting the middle so hopefully the one can should do it.

The exhaust is not hard to take off. I did it and I am not all that handy.
