ZHP Knob
Newest Mod: ZHP shift knob.
Looks and feels killer. Kinda dissapointing how they call it "weighted" though... It only a couple grams heavier than the stock goose neck. I definately miss my old whalen shift knob on the mini. But for a stock look, you can't beat the ZHP knob! Before: After: Side by side:

Hah. Nice. I wonder what's the percentage of z owners who have done this. Probably pretty high.

Start a poll, it would be interesting to know how many have changed out. I changed my 3.0i, even though it has the M badge, it feels way better than the stock knob. You can order it without the M logo on some sites, but they charge 30 bucks to lose the logo.

One of the first things that I always do is install a short shift kit, but it didn't seem to be necessary on the Z4. With the ZHP knob, the height and throw are perfect for me. I haven't weighted the stock and ZHP knobs, but I think there is a great difference in weight between them.

ZHP is 0.33 lbs. 5.4 or 5.3 ounces depending on who you ask. I thought the stock one was closer to 3 ounces, but I'm not one to argue with Ron
Edit: I think the ZHP knob is Part Number 25117896886

Agreed; this is how it should have come from the factory. Not to mention the stock knobs often become loose/break and pull off during spirited driving.
