installing painted relfectors

I tried the whole push with your thumb to pop them out but it didnt work. I know i used enough force cause i almost got a cease in the bumper but it popped back into place my itself. Im thinking about trying the screwdriver method with tape. Anyone with experience or tips on doing this?

when i did mine I think I was in the same boat as you thinking that it was going to be more difficult...

in fact its the easiest thing in the world. push in on the bumper underneath the light like a 1/2 inch below the light (not the light), when you push the bumper in far enough you will start to see the base of the light and you will be able to easily gauge the amount of force/effort (or lack there of to pop it out).

dont worry about damaging the bumper, it is super flexible where the light is and will pop back. dont use anything other than your fingers to do this (tools will do much more damage if you mess up).

When you are done you will feel the same amount of stupidity as I did when I thought it was going to be difficult.

After you push, what motions do you do to unhook the reflector?

when you push you should hear a pop which is when the reflector comes off... takes a bit of muscle but it wont crease anything or damage anything.

Trolling?

Put your thumbnail on the bottom of the reflector, push in until you hear a pop, pull the reflector out from the bottom. Don't worry about hurting the paint/car, and never, ever use a screwdriver.

If you're having that much trouble, maybe invest in some trim removal tools.

Maybe I'm just to afraid to push in hard. I haven't had a chance yet to attempt it again. Any chance someone is willing to send a quick pix with their phone showing how far they push?

Here are some pics (not mine). There was a video I saw demonstrating it but I can't find it now. If I do, I'll post it.

Yea I just got it to works thanks to the advice of placing my nail underneath. And I felt extremely stupid after how easy it was...

Don't do it too hard, I dropped mine in the bumper once and have to open up the side to get it.

I could never get my Bimmian painted reflector to fit tight and flush. I even tried chipping out excess paint out of channels and it still would not fit. Struggled for 1/2 hour and snapped the stock orange back in in 2 seconds and sent them back to Turner.

Yeah, returned a set as well and learned that IND is prob one of the best sources.

During installation the IND reflectors slid into place like butter. Like was stated earlier in the thread, I was quite surprised at how easy installation was. And the colour matches nicely. Only in certain light do I really notice them on the car.

Is there a certain time after sticking on the painted reflectors to let it dry before driving off or before letting the car touch water or rain? Just being on the safe side by asking. Should you give it a day or two before or a car wash or driving it in bad weather? I don't want it to be loose.
