Paint chip repair?

So i bought my car with a chip thats about 1 inch by a few mm right on the front of the bumper near the grill. My question is whats the best bet for repair short of a respray. I plan on respraying and clear bra but i dont think right now is the time, instead of just putting it off even longer i feel like i should at least temporarily touch it up.

I know that the BMW touch up paint makes it a bad thing worse at my hands I hear good things about Dr. colorchip though and there have got to be many others on the market.

Anyone with experience with any of these products that wants to chime in?

Thanks everyone!

I'm a big fan of Dr. Colorchip. My previous car had about 40 small chips in the front fender and hood. I was able to fix those to the point you couldn't tell unless you put your face a foot or two from the former chip. Your scratch sounds like it's larger though, and I don't have experience with it for larger work like that. It is, however, way better than those OEM touch up kits.

If it is ti silver, Dr. Colorchip will do an alright job. I'm in the same boat.

I used Dr. Colorchip and unless you know where to look or are looking for it, it's not too bad for a bumper.

Another vote for dr. colorchip, way better than the Langka brand one that is kinda the same idea. Hope it turns out well!

okay guys, i just finished up my repair. I forgot to take before after pics, but ill give you a good idea of whats what. First off, the repair is just that, a repair. Your going to be able to see it if you look at the car within three feet, but in my case its fine as before it was a deep chip all the way down to the black.

some tips: Wait more than two minutes between the first and second step. I would say around 8 would be fine. With my car its taken like 5 coats, but i found on the third coat it was easiest to just use the very fine brush and precisely fill the chip as best as i can. After that was dry i did the second step and then proceeded with the normal instructions, again waiting about 8 minutes between step 1-2.
