Question has anybody done this to their oem zcp/performance splitters?

i've seen a handful color matched already n i've also seen 1 pair custom molded,
but i have yet 2 c 'em w/ this paint scheme.

i think this'll look real sick on m3 cf splitters.

plus, i'm pretty sure that the main reason sum ppl don't like 'em 2 begin w/,
is bc once they're installed (unpainted) they "break" the lines of the bumper.
in turn, makin 'em look out of place bein that they're cf... well i think so atleast.
this obviously ain't the case w/ a black m3.

also, i tried 2 photoshop actual m3 splitters so y'all can c wut they'd look like, but no bueno.

(all credit goes 2 e90post member: Alan l. since he's the 1st person 2 do this, e90 lci m-sport 335 is his as well)

so as y'all can c, the front "face" section is left exposed w/ the top n bottom portions painted.

huge improvement imo... any1 agree?

Very interesting.

Might be the solution to my splitter vs. no splitter debate.

looks like a really nice way to integrate the splitters into the front bumper better. curious how it'll look on an M3....

I like it. now just mold that on and you've got an aggressive OEM look

I think it would look cool. IND does the half-painted OEM CF mirrors, so I'm sure they could do this to the splitters too.

I'd like to see this as well. On the fence about which lip to purchase and this would be a great option.

Cool idea. Picture detail wasn't great but making the tape-off shape would need to be done by eye to get a nice sleek look like that 3er has.

Here is a quick attempt:

Excellent job! Can't tell with the one on the passenger side but that's a lighting thing with the original pic.

The driver's side looks better than I thought.

Would consider doing this instead of a lip. Especially because I'm irrationally afraid of scraping and the splitters give a lot more clearance vs a lip (I think?).
