Oil change before or after track?
I have a 2-day HPDE coming up in May. Given my driving habits, I predict that I will have an oil change due about 800-1000 miles after the event. Question is: should I change the oil before the HPDE or immediately after?
I'm guessing it should be done before, since it would already have about 6000 actual miles on the oil before the hpde, but I want to make sure. Thanks.

If you're past the halfway point in your oil change interval, change it before. Otherwise change it after.

I would change it afterward. We are talking about 6k miles on synthetic....if anything, change the filter now and then oil + filter afterward.

Change it before then after your weekend just change out the filter and top off your oil. I'm assuming VIR with the TrackDaze group. Will see you there.
