I am actually a very mechanically inclined person and have no trouble doing brake jobs, installing cold air intakes, and even installing springs, shocks and coil overs but when it comes to disassembling interior parts I'm always breaking tabs off and when it comes time to put it all back together theres alwasy one piece thats just a b!tch to get right. Painting or wrapping would be a perfect winter project and a great "update" but I'm too affraid to tackle it on my own. BTW both the painted and the dry carbon wrapped looks amazing, great job guys. |

...one more question, do the silver trim things on the steering wheel come off easily? If I did mine I would have to paint or wrap thos to match. Thanks

Gotta take the airbag off to get at them. If you look closely at the pic I posted, my tabs have the same wrap as the dash.

Check out the M steering wheel DIY for pics and directions - stick a screw driver down into each hole just behind the wheel, push the spring tabs in and the airbag comes off. The trim comes off the wheel with a few torx screws. After reading this thread, I'm going to wrap my dash pieces (due to knicks and scratches) in CF silver. Now just trying to decide which material to use ..... leaning towards 3M Di-Noc right now |
