Chriszeh, I can move mine about a 3/4 of an inch. It does not move easily and I don't notice it while driving.

are you saying it requires some force to move it. mine wiggles rather easily. i thought at first my pedal set was loose but it is actually the pedal motion.

Did you take the clutch assist spring out? I hear it's typical of that mod. Don't know if it's detrimental or not, but so far I haven't noticed anything out of the norm after many track days. That wriggle has been there since the day I pulled the spring out.

Yes it requires some force. It wouldn't move if wiggled it with my fingers.

Since you have the spring removal completed, see if the two telescoping shafts are still installed. At first I took these out, but the pedal was too loose and sloppy, so I put them back in less the second spring, and lateral play is very minimal now.

Those run inside the coils of the spring correct. I did remove those as well.

Exactly. Just put those back in less the spring and it'll be much better.

Will do possibly. Hate trying to climb around under the dash area as there isn't any comfortable way to get at it.

i ended up having one nut on the back of the BMWpedal from EAS that was slightly loose which made a light sound when releasing the pedal which caused me to think something was wrong. just retightened and all good.
