Help Mod My Ride with ESS Supercharger
I will be getting an ESS supercharger VT2-600 kit for my DCT E92. I spoke with Roman and he was very helpful. Questions:
1) I know you can run this kit with a stock exhaust, but would you still come close to the 600hp output without the recommended HFC/no-cat mid section? 2) Will this setup pass emissions testing in Oregon? Also, if anyone has experience with this kit let me know how you like it on your car and any disadvantages you may have dealt with. Thanks.

In my opinion, the setup that they recommend is for optimum HP. You can still run the stock setup and it will, of course, bring you an improvement in HP. Now, as far as the emissions goes, here in Georgia, the test for the cats are only visual. Even the high flow cats have the outside case or shell, so you still have the cats, they are just guted inside. I don't know if this helps.
