Software update ideas in So Cal?
I bought an ESS programmer, but every time I try to program the new modded file, It gets stuck and I need to put the stock file back on.
According to ESS, my ecu has not had the new OEM software update for the M3 and the dealers want to charge me to do an update. I understand there is no need for an update according to the dealer, but if there are updates, I think I should be able to get it. Anyone shed any light on this? Also, are there any other dealers in the Southern California area that we have rapport with that will allow an update? Any help would be appreciated. Justin

Did ESS disclose this to you? If not tell them to take their product back or threaten to blast them over the forums. Works wonders.
