carbon fiber oem hood??

hey guys I found this on ebay, what do you guys think about the carbon fiber hood??

Stock hood is aluminum, so it weighs the same. It's just an excuse to make the car look awkward.

It would FIT an M' just fine...it just isn't an M' ribbed hood to begin with.

Chances are, from reading their add, Its a CF skinned , fiberglass reinforced part. No doubt weighing in more than stock/OEM.

If it were well engineered full carbon part.... it COULD weigh in less than an OEM Aluminum hood....and be MUCH stronger and dent resistant.

But that is not the case here.

I thought the Ms needed the ribs to clear the S54?

If that were the case, when we fit strut tower braces....there would be a lot more interference than just one spot touching at 1/8th of an inch. Its just a few hoses that create the height difference between the S54 and N52's.

Although....I have not yet placed an S.I. hood onto an S54 engined Z. I could be wrong until that's actually done.
