SoCal Track Day: Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile 10/16

SoCal Track Day: Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile 10/16

Where: Willow Springs, Horse Thief Mile
When: October 16
Price: only $95 with discount code htm14
but I believe it expires October 10th? and first 20 drivers get free timing and a free T shirt. I personally care more for free timing lol

There will be both Grip and Drift sessions, as long as enough people desire both!
I am not much of a drifter, but I do want to learn...and my rear tires need to working out

Many people directly ask me specific questions, and unfortunately, I cannot answer them as I don't work for them.
Please email any questions to: sung@extremespeedtrackevents.com

I can try to answer what I can if you ask in the thread, but please don't PM me if you can email them it's their job, let them do it lol

Yeah

I decided that the Advan sport wheels I got with the SLs are POS tires

So I want to turn through them, make some smoke, have some nice pics lol

then put the real RS3s on

Yeah but, unless you're proficient at drifting, I'd be careful about going off the track. We're talking possible body/fender/bumper & wheel damages...

Dirt & track at Willow Springs aren't at even level like they are at Buttonwillow, Chuckwalla, etc.

Yeah I know, I've been here before, but it's still better than Button for doing sideways, can't comment on Chuck :/

Pretty fun track. But you don't have to drift on it, although if you wanted to it wouldn't be too hard.

I tried the 'grip' (track) thing on that track back in May & hated it, lulz.

IMO, it's just way too small to be tracking in M3's.

A nimble Miata on that track, now that's a different story.

Yeah

I did it in the RAIN last year in Nov (and it was my FIRST EVER track day too lol)

Main reason I want to go back is to see how it is now that I track days under my belt lol
Plus I want to burn through these crappy Advans

I'm strongly considering it; would like to get a track day in this week/weekend and this seems to be the only local-ish option. I definitely would NOT be attempting to drift though hah....

I think there are only like 25-30 cars signed up?

It'll be open track day all day

I think I'll leave early, depending on how many sessions I get (my guess is a lot)

Im getting old
