135i rear brakes on a 128i

I was wondering if anyone successfully installed the 135i rear brakes on a 128i and resolved the hand break issue?

thanks,
Alex

Really? from what I understand the the inside of the rotor is bigger on the 135 and the hand brake shoe doesn't reach the outside thus rendering the handbrake useless.

Is yours auto? or manual? have you done it? does your hand brake work?

Oh I thought you meant a problem on stock 128i, and you upgraded to 135 No, I do not have 135i brakes installed.

Just a thought, I'd not upgrade to 135 brakes, if I really want to upgrade them.

I have the same problem on a 118d with the rear brakes. Does anyone know if welding e-brake shoes on ours shoes it's work?

My solution was to weld 135i e-brake shoes on my OEM shoes and it works perfectly

Wow, I have 128 rear brakes on my 135 in the winter, and the handbrake works fine. Just needed adj.
The hub offset is definitely different. Which is easy to fix putting 128 caliper on a 135, but the other way, might be more difficult...

I have installed 135i F+R rotors and calipers on my '10 118d e82 and I don't have any problem, I only had to adapt the handbrake shoes. Everything works fine.
