Need catalytic converter shop

My brother has a late '90s 528 in excellent condition. The car needs a new catalytic converter. The dealer wants $2500 to replace it.
Does anyone know a good shop in the Seattle area that would be less expensive?
Thanks a lot.

Sounds like the dealer is trying to stick you with an OE system. Any other place should give you an aftermarket option, which will be much cheaper. ie, magnaflow, catco, etc

If you can find a mechanic that will let you bring parts in, that will probably be cheapest. You can get them a lot of places online, like http://www.summitracing.com/ or http://www.californialegalconverters.com
