Did you move to Florida, or are you driving all the way down there to pick it up?

Its good that you're getting the car painted, since you won't have to paint the top seperately.

Not to bust your chops, but the going rate for used hardtops is about $1500. I've been watching for them for years now. Also, if you're going to drive down there figure about $450 for gas round trip (2400 miles total at 21mpg?) , plus about $80 for the hard top prep kit. Make sure the prep kit is installed BEFORE driving the car down there, otherwise how else would you put it on the car?

sorry for noob question
Just want to ask, if I add the hardtop, will it still have electric retractable? or it has to be manually removed?

I'm pretty sure you fold down your electric soft top, and then install the hardtop over that

herpes.

also, it would leave minor fold marks if you left it on for too long. Most of them can be "fixed" by leaving the top up and out in the sun, but some might be permanent

I usually leave the hardtop on my car from like October to March, I've not noticed much in the way of permanent fold marks.

My brother has an S2k that he bought with a hardtop. We took the top off before he signed on the line just to make sure the softtop was in good condition. Looked like it had been down for years. I really don't think the original owner ever took the hardtop off. Pretty heavy fold marks but they iron out in the sun on a hot day.
