Alarm Malfunction
The alarm on my 06 M road. will go off at different times when set without any reason (could be in driveway clear or raining, windy , etc or at my wife's work parking lot with no one around car) . This has been happening since I had it installed prior to picking up the car in Cincinatti 2 years ago but have not been able to re-create it for my local dealer. I switched the underhood switch with my MC and made no difference -Coupe is fine.
Any suggestions ? crunch time because my wife starts back to work soon and its embarrising getting e-mail form school admin. the "your car alarm is sounding again" Thanks Wayne |

Well, you've tested the most common issue already.
Does the M Roady have the interior sensor? That would be my next thing to try.

Try disconnecting the hood switch altogether. The location of the switch may be slightly off (in position when closed) on your roadster compared to your coupe.
