/// New to the Family - 2012 BMW 135I ///
Finally found the right forums for all my 1 series addictions
Let me begin by saying the 135 has ranked already #1 in my book in cars I have owned and it's only been one week (haven't even broken her in yet) My Mod list or things I want to do are Angel Lights (thinking so far bulb replacement is the way to go) Corner Delete Tires (I'm really digging these rims that came with the car, but I do want to go 19") And anything really (open to suggestions) that can swap back to stock when my lease ends. I have owned a e90 325/e46 m3/e92 328 and now finally the 135. Which each of these cars I have learned from trial and error, so I think this time I will get it right.... On the 325, I regretted not noticing I didn't get HID's when I bought it used The E46 M3 -Dropped it (full kit) I'll never again drop a car, it ruined the drive and fun factor out of my far. -Warranty - bought it used and realized how important it is to have a car under warranty. Inspection 1 cost me 1200 dollars a lone. -Cambers, dropping came at a price - my rear tires. e92 328 - Had this for 8 months, never again will I get a non sports car... the m3 spoiler me and I don't think I can survive without the HP. All in all, i have only owned BMW (stick to what works ) Here are some quick pictures taken from my phone.... ***on a side note, maybe someone with experience this can answer this for me..... A manager from the dealership I bought it from offered to tune my car for $750 dollars. I asked few questions, because my friend has a juicebox in he's 335 - he told me it requires no chip, everything is done through software (says he's buddy is a engineer for bmw and he has all the codes to get me 100 hp.) Obviously after reading through different sections on these forums, no one is getting those numbers on a n55 engine, so usually if it sounds to go to be true than it probably is. Thanks ahead of time to the community.... and let the modding begin ^_^ |

doesnt sound like that is what the dealer is offering...sounds like a custom tune....who knows if its legit. I'd ask for dyno's or some reference to someone running the tune before i'd do an anonymous custom tune. Especially since there's plenty of good tunes out there.

He told me it has nothing to do with BMW... He said for 750 dollars he can tune the car ... All. Software. I told him I would get back to him. He says he's buddy is a BMW engineer and he has settings and codes needed to boost the car 100hp. Which after doing research no one is getting that with software on a n55 engine.
