Bavarian Exclusive|Berk Technology Full Street and Race Exhaust review!!
After almost a month of back to back testing with the 2 exhausts, I was extremely impressed by the quality, sound and performance of both their Full Race and Street exhaust systems! Before we began analyzing the sounds of the exhaust, I allowed a 1 week break in for each system. On average, I drive about 300 miles per week. Both exhaust systems are competitively priced under $1000!!!
The first exhaust we decided to put on our 135i was the Full Race Exhaust system. I was extremely curious to see how loud it could possibly be and figure out the “French Horn” noise everybody seemed to be talking about on the forums. French horn? Not once during or after the break in did I or any of my colleagues hear any traces of it. The noise, however, was phenomenal. It truly brings a smile to your face when the loudness is almost compared to an M5’s Eisenmann Race exhaust. Once you’re on the throttle though, that sound is just amazing! You’d never expect that kind of sound coming out of the rear of 135i. Berk Technology’s Full Street Exhaust System only adds a resonator to silence that BEAST of an exhaust but does not affect the performance at all. I would say that the Street has a perfect note for daily driving. Although I truly miss the sound of the Berk Technology Full Race Exhaust, I would honestly have to pick the Full Street Exhaust over it. Berk Technology has truly mastered an exhaust for the 135i and has set a benchmark for all 135i exhausts. Not only does it fit perfectly and sound great, it also makes power! Our 135i is equipped with RSD’s 3.5” Catless Downpipe. With all the downpipes we’ve seen installed on the N55, we’ve noticed that it produces a raspy sound similar to the E46 M3’s exhaust rasp. After we installed the exhausts, it completely eliminated it! It definitely cleans up the sound and definitely fine tunes it. Let us know if you have any questions about their amazing exhaust! Nice review and video. I have to say I absolutely love the Berk sport system on my N54 with AR Design DPs... sounds beautiful! Berk's customer service is also excellent... I had their test pipe on my S2k and now this exhaust. Excellent quality/welds/etc. and you can't beat the pricing either.
By the way, are those the ambergones or just some custom tint covering up the amber in the headlights?

I ran the race muffler on RR midpipes for a week and now have had the berk street system on mine for a while. I have to agree completely with this post, you're spot on. Perfect for street driving every single day, not too loud, not quiet at all though! Even gives a great burbble sound winding down...

Hahahaha I absolutely LOVE the burble... or as we'd like to say "popcorn". It's fun to play with the throttle as the RPM's come down because you can manipulate it to burble all the way til you stop.

hilarious i was showing my friend that yesterday, it doesn't make the car jerk or anything but just constant tapping it to 1% throttle makes it pop like crazy

Does this setup cause you to have any CEL or codes? Did you have to reprogam anything? This is a awesome setup but I don't want to have to deal with the computer part.

Catback exhaust system will not throw any CEL. HOWEVER, running it with a catless downpipe, will cause a CEL unless you have a DP fix or tune of some sort. The BERK TECHNOLOGY exhaust will not throw any codes AT ALL.
