CDV Removal/Mod in Dallas/Fort Worth Area

I've researched this issue on the forum and decided to go with a professional deletion or modification of the CDV as my second mod.

Couple of questions:

I was planning on getting the BMW Short Shift Kit (http://www.shopbmwusa.com/ProductDet...1140&perf=true) -- and having BMW install that FIRST as I still have a year left on my warranty. (Don't want them to see the CDV mod or the lackthereof).

Is doing the SSK install first prudent?

Second, and after installing the SSK, I was going to take the car somewhere to get the CDV deleted -- I called Cobb and they won't do it.

Any suggestions in the DFW area?

And any suggestions on any other mods to do while I'm taking it in (relatively inexpensive)?

For reference I have a 2008 135i, sport package, 6MT -- unmodded.

Matt

Why pay somebody to do it? It's so easy you can do it in about 15-20 mins. If you modify the stock valve (which takes about 3 seconds really) there'd be no way for your dealership to know it's been done short of removing it and inspecting it from the inside, which they won't do. So it doesn't matter which you do first.

I'm just not that handy and I didn't want to deal with the complication of possibly bleeding the system...

anyone in the dfw area get this done at a shop?

I second the motion to do it yourself. there's a great diy section on this and anyone can do this mod. as long as you plug the side towards the engine with your thumb you wont bleed the system.
