Newb

So I am new to this scene. The name is Kacy. I am from KY. I currently own a 06 Chrysler 300C SRT8. I really like the car but going from a 04 SRT-4 with 400whp and still getting mid to high 20mpg to a damn lead sled getting 16mpg on a good day it kinda sucks. So i am looking at getting an 08-09 135i when i come back from iraq. Just came here to see if i could some imput on these cars and some of the best mods to do to them.

The 300

Beautiful 300 but yeah, night and day compared to your SRT-4....
What made you go from a quick little rocket to a cruiser?

The 135 is an incredible car.
I don't know from experience with regard to mods but from what I've been told by others, JB3 flash on a 135 will make it a little screamer. I'm sure you can get crazy with mods when it comes to turbo cars. Bigger intercooler, downpipe, exhaust and bigger turbo

So what was done to the SRT4? I got a SRT4 myself and a 2011 135i.

Thanks man. Well i had so much done to the srt-4, it started getting to where there was problem after problem and the suspension options were sh!t. Just keep going thru them like candy. And going to the SRT-8 was a choice i made more for comfort and reliability than anything.

The 135 seems like a great car.

Forward Motion E1 turbo, AGP external wastegate mod, Brian Crower Stage 3 cams (272/272) , Manley valve springs, 682cc injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Agp big front mount, DSP tuner, MadDog short throw shifter 80%, Injen CAI, TurboXS BOV, Full 3in Single exit exhaust, KW Vibrant 1 coilovers, Drag DR9 17s, ACT 6 Puck clutch with pro lite flywheel, DSS Axles, Adjustable Cam Gears. Probably forgetting some stuff. The wheels were originally gold and they started chipping so i painted them black. Here is a short video of it.

I suggest you buy new if your budget will allow. Since it sounds like you are in the military you should put all that hazard duty pay to good use and check into ordering a new one from one of the BMW Military Sales dealers. Nothing was more satisfying for me than picking up my new 135 exactly the way I wanted it. You can save significant $$$ and will most likely pay less than dealer invoice. Perhaps you have already considered this and still want to go used but go with a 135 either way! There are a good number of us on here that have gone the military sales route so feel free to ask or due a search if you need more info.
Stay safe over there!!

Nice cars!

Going from Chrysler/Dodge to a BMW will be a night and day difference in a good way. You can still get all the craziness of the SRT4 with some moderate modding, but in a much more refined and comfortable package. A chip (JB4 or procede), downpipes, and methanol alone will get you 400 rwhp easy. Add an intercooler, full exhaust, intake, etc. and you get more Plus, you get great BMW quality steering feel and response, which is something I wouldn't trade any amount of horsepower for (unless I was trading it for Porsche steering feel and response ). And as for reliability, the only big warranty issue was the high pressure fuel pump issue which seems mostly resolved now. This issue was so blown up in the press, but I haven't had a single problem after the latest replacement pump and software update.

Either way, while I love the classiness of the 300 (+ brutalness of the Hemi engine) and the craziness of the SRT4, I know you'll enjoy your step "up" from Fia- ...I mean Chrysler

And yes, if you buy new, go with pentagon car sales!

Yea that was one thing that i loved about the srt-4, was the crazy amounts of power with little amounts of money. But also love the classiness of the 300. But looking at the 135 in white is pure sex on wheels! Is there anyone on here that has a white 135 with gold wheels?

I was thinking of doing the same, as it's a classic color combination. Didn't find anything when i was looking. At the end of the day I went with gunmetal finsih on my wheels as my gf said gold wasn't really something that goes with my personality haha.
