Talking Leak in Car Wash

Sitting in the car wash ... a few (very few) drops of water on my arm coming in at the back of the window.

Phoned dealer. Totally normal. Said no way weather stripping can keep the high pressure out.

... and yet my wife's 328i SportWagon is dry as a bone in the same car wash.

Good to know leaks are normal.

Please pardon if a repost. Just found this odd.

BTW, I have the hard top sedan, not the vert.

the 328i (sportwagon) and the 135i have different set ups. coupes have frameless windows... Hence the possibility of a water leak.

Different material as well. The dealer said if it ever rains and leaks, then that would be problem.

If rolled up completely, the windows should hold a seal against a normal car wash. I've never seen a drop come through. Driving on the highway during a storm isn't going to be all that better and BMW does not design its doors so it only leaks "a little". I'd make sure you're buttoned up tight next time and then watch carefully.

Never seen a leak, and I wash obsessively.

I go to a nice touchless auto wash, which due to the pressure of the washers, will get a few drops in as well.

I have never contacted the dealer about this, but am not terribly pleased with the response you received. However, I have never had issues under regular driving circumstances.
