Milltek Backbox

Had one fitted about a month a go and pleased with the outcome. However, I have noticed if I that the centre console seems to get much warmer than it used to.

Has anyone else noticed this after fitting an aftermarket exhaust? I never noticed this prior to having the exhaust fitted! Perhaps i'm going mad!

i'm booked in for Saturday to get one fitted..............

Chose this for its medium sound range - too many "race" systems out there that are just too noisy for everyday use!

Demon Tweeks

Apparently Milltek have just gone up 10% across the board
All the places advertising them cheap......in the £850-£875 bracket - haven't actually got them in stock - phoned round this morning............... a couple of them phoned Milltek for me and said it would be a 4 week wait to have one made

Demon tweeks didn't have one......... but phoned me back 10 mins later saying they have got me one directly from Milltek to be delivered tomorrow and fitted Saturday.

I was very tempted by Imrans kind offer of a try before you buy on the Supersprint race........... but as its a "race" it'll sound nice(& loud, i'd imagine) but may be a little too raucous.............. and all the write ups i can see on the Milltek say its not offensive but crisps up the standard sound!

I want a "street" sound - NOT one that will get you tickets off the cops and annoy the neighbours

I still think the supersprint might be a bit boomy (might just be that vid though) Not 100% sure on the looks either, pipes look a bit on the thin side to me.

I was looking at the milltek the other day as well

Seemed a similar kind of price. Let us know your thoughts when you've got it on.

How much was it fitted? ~1k?

Is it a bold on?

I think you right to go for milltek over supersprint bro the race was too loud for me!! I went thro exactly the same shit I didn't want too load I have heard tubi and essiman and ackra in person and all way too load for me and expensive so I went milltek cat back which is a bolt on job very easy to fit and reversible unlike some others the only prob I have is the stupid cold start up thing these m3s do it drones for 30-60secs till levels out then it is a nice rumble and perfect in my opinion. I have a e93 but I know of a second hand e92 system for sale if you are interested pm me bro

Ordered a Milltek M3 Catback from D Tweeks yetserday for £950

Sods Law.................. looked on M3 cutters this morning and theres a 3000 mile exhaust for £400 inc delivery

Bought it

Now to get my £100 deposit back from DT's.............!!!

yes its come off an E92

but Demon tweeks told me the E92 and E93 are exactly the same..............?????

A e93 will fit both so maybe they stopped making the e92 one (which is a single box) and they just produce e93 ones now which are two boxes linked together to clear the strengthening bars

Thats correct - coupe and vert are the same - it is the saloon one that is different!

If you fit an E92/3 system to an E90 the pipes protrude too far out the back valance.
