2010 X5 M stone chips issues

i heard and saw many x5/6 with stone chips problems recently, so i went to dealer for fix but bmwna told them that i have to pay for paint($900-1100) but they gonna pay for protection($250-400).
2010 with 11000miles is too old for right fix?
bmw put little plastic films protection for door seal rubbing scratch, but nothing for real problems.
should i take their offer or claim again?

I would email them three or four of the existing threads on this and other forums, and tell them you want the same treatment. That's what got my dealer on the right track. Until I showed them three different forums with threads focused on this issue, they wouldn't even acknowledge it was a real problem.
